What parents should knowSpecial medical rinsing solutions for adults hinder the bacteria responsible for caries and should be used in a prophylactic way. You can learn more about this at an individual dental cleaning appointment with us.
Children should have their teeth brushed 1x per day from the time the first baby tooth appears until they are three years old. Children between four and six years old should brush their teeth 2x per day with children’s toothpaste that contains fluoride. They may of course brush their teeth more often than this, but then only without toothpaste.
Please give them only a small amount of toothpaste on the toothbrush. In this way you can prevent them from swallowing too much fluoridated toothpaste. A playful approach is often a good way to introduce your child to this daily procedure. Sit with your child on the sofa or bed and hold their head in your lap. This allows an optimal overview of the mouth.
When you brush your teeth in the bathroom, take your child along and let him or her playfully brush their teeth.
